Privileged to share the Gospel

November 11, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

Also, I shared the Gospel with a lady at Lovelady in the last few months who began crying and said, “I have never heard that before!” I was telling her simply that the wrath of God was poured out on Christ and will not be poured out on believers! It was a simple yet esential component to the Gospel that the Holy Spirit made real to her! Praise His Name!

It is a great honor to be ministering to those women and children who recognize their brokenness and are hungry for the Word! I wish many of those I counseled in churches were like these ladies and children!

Pray about joining us in doing rewarding ministry at The Lovelady Center!

-Mark (grateful to be sharing the good news daily with broken souls)

Yes, y’all!! Come help at the Lovelady! Hungry, hurting souls are waiting. And yes, Mark, a HUGE error in the American Church today is that sometimes people trying to “Win” people to Christ by emphasizing the “pray to receive Christ into your heart” which is NOT the gospel. It’s NOT what YOU do or ask for — it’s about what God does in Christ FOR us. The gospel is about WHAT GOD already did in Christ and through Christ, can do for us, not the other way around.
“All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”

    2 Corinthians 5:18-20
