Just because one human says it’s a disease…

Just because one man says “alcoholism” and “addiction” are a disease, does that make it a disease?

Just because thousands, maybe millions, of people agree that it’s a disease, does that make it a disease?

Here’s the question we are better off asking: Does God say in His Word and by His Spirit that drunkenness and idolatry are a “disease”?

    Interesting question. I have one.
What was the thorn in the flesh that Paul suffered from? He asked God to remove it 3 times and God told him no because, “His grace was sufficient for thee”. Grace does not equate a cure, grace allows us to find the means necessary to accept, understand, and move forward with our lives in whatever condition we lives our lives with.
    Thanks for the post.

Praise the Lord for His grace that allows us to handle life’s trials and to suffer for righteousness sake! You “get it,” my Friend!
