Why do we like babies so much? (part 1)

I think it’s because they remind us of the purity of Christ.

Nothing like a precious newborn infant to remind us of the pure love of God. This new life is totally dependent upon its parents for EVERYTHING just like a spiritual newborn is totally dependent upon Christ for salvation and sanctification!

-Mark (little known fact about me – I love babies! I could work in the nursery every Sunday – well, maybe every other Sunday!)

I testify to the truth of this post!! Mark LOVES to hold, cuddle, feed, and get a reaction out of babies. And he was a pro at changing our little ones after just a few short lessons:)

I hope I’m not stealing your next post, Mark, but did you ever think about how it’s so EASY to get a baby to smile; after of course you supply dry clothing, food, and the comfort and knowledge that they are loved.

Likewise, it’s so easy to get a new believer to smile; it is in the forefront of their minds that they are clothed [in righteousness by Christ]
that they are fed [from the eternal Words of Christ]
and that they are loved [with an everlasting love]
I think Mark and I really LOVE caring for and shepherding new believers for this very reason.
